Black Jack V is a beautiful true black – even in the summer sun!  He does not lose his color!
He has been trail ridden in Kentucky and Tennessee…..and has a history of abuse when younger….
.and being saved….and loved by a wonderful woman who cared enough to offer to buy him —-
paid for him and took him home!!   He is a VERY lucky horse that she was on
those trail rides that summer………
Bj is a really pretty horse, and he is wonderful on trails!
He is a stocky horse and is a true 14 hands! Very difficult height to find....

He is a stocky horse and is a true 14 hands! Very difficult height to find….

Note:  We have had several Black Jack’s —-and a few B.J.’s —-over the years with videos on youtube.  For that reason, I have “in the title block” – referred to this one as Black Jack V.   But in all descriptions, I will be calling him by his nick name, Bj.

Black Jack V– (7 yrs. – 14 H) —– had been trail ridden in Ky. and Tn. by a woman.  We have had Bj since the first week of September.   If you read our “about us” page on our website, you will see that we work with Special Needs Children and Adults.  Horses that are not ready for those type of riders are sold to Experienced Riders.  When we first got Bj in September, 2015, he was truly a horse for Special Needs Riders.  It is now January, and due to my taking a long break the past 2-1/2 months–—- he is now recommended for intermediate and/or experienced riders.  He LOVES Abigail who is 15 yrs. old.  He would be wonderful for a young girl!!

In the past ten  years of doing this, our normal routine has been, – we keep our horses minimum two months before offering them for sale to you.  During that time, we have always ridden our horses every other day spending endless hours on ground manners, and working with them on having patience.

Due to unforeseen circumstances in my family this past fall, I took a very long and much needed break during the holidays. It is now January and as of today, 1/12/16, we have started back to work with our beloved horses. It is good to be back. —-We have had three horses here during all this time,…since the first of September, 2015.   –  They are Black Jack V, —Speck (Appaloosa), and sweet Ginger.  During all this time, they have all been ridden by the girls when they have friends over,….. trail ridden, but not the usual hands on – “every other day with training and ground work”- with standing to mount, patience, etc..———

With Speck and Ginger?  It has made absolutely!!  No difference at all.  They both are the same 24/7 no matter how long they go without being ridden and they – every time!!  Stand to mount – “and wait to be told to move”.   As for Bj – he is “sometimes” stepping off 1 – 2 steps when being mounted, and is standing and waiting less time than he did when he first came.  We are working on the mounting and patience with Bj.—–I am excited that we will be getting back to work full steam ahead!  With offering more amazing family horses as we have done so for the past – gosh! now ten years!!!

Bj has wonderful ground manners and he is very patient in the crossties.  He has never pawed when there ——or tied wherever.   He has a very easy mouth and does stop on voice command.  He would be awesome, too, for a young teenage girl…..He is just SO pretty!  Girls love long thick tails and pretty manes!!!  Bj absolutely loves to be loved!  He is a horse that has to trust you so on arrival, you will need to spend time doing ground work for 4-5 days with him…taking time to make him “feel safe” and bonding for the both of you.    But then, I recommend one does this on every horse we sell….they have emotions just like us!

When ridden in a slow easy gait, he has that beautiful head shake in time with his gait!!

He is a true black with a beautiful thick tail and mane.  Bj loves to be petted and is very curious.  He runs good with other horses, – he is very humble.  He walks on the trailer…….And he will cross ditches, creeks, and has been awesome!!  with being traffic broke.  The semi’s, sirens, cycles have not bothered him at all…..as well as the other traffic.  We live on a 4-lane and it is a true test for horses!  He has paid no attention to the tractor, manure spreader, —and we were target practicing about 60 feet from him this week—shooting guns —-and he watched unconcerned from his pasture.

As with all of our horses, I did have him vet checked when we purchased him and he will be vet checked again just prior to transporting with current coggins and health paperwork.  We have had no problems with health issues here.  As with all of our horses, I will send you photos of the bit, as well as, after a reset, photos of all four feet to give to his new farrier. He is a beautiful horse….and I know he will make someone a really sweet companion and great trail horse.

Please take the time to read our MANY wonderful testimonials!  I have more that have not been posted.  I will be happy to obtain transport quotes upon request.  I have several that I trust and have used their services with excellent references.   95% of my horses have been sold by phone or e-mail, site unseen…. I realize it takes a “lot of trust”……and is a “leap of faith”…..but you will find I have several families that have come back to me over the years and purchased 1 – 3 more over the phone – paying by bank wire.  One family in Florida?….have 8 of my horses!!   Six purchased by phone and paid for by bank wire.  And if we do not presently have what you are looking for?  Many of my horses are sold before posting them on the ad sites because I work with families on a very personal basis…..with them giving me some time, finding and matching them up with just the right horse or pony for their family.   -  My Cell:  (606) 271-1064 -  I welcome questions!  And we will make special videos for you upon request.   “thank you”………

Please remember during video/photo movie that Bj is SEVEN YEARS OLD – NOT FOUR!
